The following started as a Facebook status and then I added two stanzas to make it a silly poem:
Strung out on caffeine, she's a homework machine, two papers done and another by morning...
Going cross-eyed, consciousness fleeing
Here comes an injection of taurine!
Pray my heart won't blow to smithereens
You may call me Procrasti-Queen!
Oh be quiet, I know it's not helping
To sing silly songs while the clock is ticking
This syllable count keeps on changing
Unlike the word count I'm processing...
THEN my friend Emma actually put it to music and adapted the words into lyrics! This is her performing it.
I would give anything for adventure if you would give everything for love.
